Prism is a technological solution helping neurotypical people to empathize with those on the autism spectrum. Working initially with 3rd and 4th graders at the Beech Bottom Primary School in in Brooke County, West Virginia, the team behind Prism is creating the tools to help a generation of children grow up with increased awareness and understanding for their autistic peers. If successful, the technology that powers Prism can be expanded to reach additional age groups, parents of autistic children, educators, and beyond.

Sound Designer

Studio Duat is a student-led art studio exploring new and immersive mediums for storytelling. This semester, we are producing an environmental experience to take viewers through the realms of Egyptian mythology, traveling the path through the Duat, the Lands of the Dead. We are developing this experience to be delivered equally well across two different platforms; Oculus, and the CAVE.

HamStar | HTC Vive

HamStar is a first-person VR adventure game. From the scope of a hamster, the guest can explore the room by rolling two controllers like a hamster rolling a wheel. The goal for the guest is to find hamster friends in the room. Some unique features of the game include allowing the guest experience being  pulled up by a vacuum machine, bouncing up by a catapult or spring, and falling vertically down a tube.

SoundBearier | HoloLens

The SoundBearier focuses on high interactivity from the guest and a developing character dynamic which the guest would help resolve. Although this world is quite tiny with player time less than 2 minutes, we used voice recognition, gazing, gesture detection, movement, spatial mapping, and occlusion mapping.

Cake Skate | Omni & Oculus

Cake Skate is a VR game developed with Omni and Oculus. The guest's goal is to deliver a cake to the wedding on a skate board. On the way to the destination, the guest bumps into different people and obstacles. The guest needs to react to these moments and try to get to the wedding on time. 

Counting Sheep | FOVE

BVW Course Project | 1 week, 4-person team

Sound Designer & Producer

An eye tracking game developed with FOVE that is played with the guest lying on the ground. It has three stages and requires the guest to gaze and blink to collect sheep and not look at distraction items to win. The winning status is the guest being able to fall asleep and the losing status is the guest staying up all night.

Jazzy Restaurant is a system for self-service meal ordering. It works on PC and Android mobile devices. It has a different client for each role including customer who is waiting in line, customer who is ordering, waiter, chef, and janitor. Customers are able to order their meal with their detailed preferences, waiters and chefs are able to serve their customers with high efficiency, and janitors are able to save time and make sure every spot in the restaurant is clean. This is an undergraduate project.

ChinaSoft International Internship Project | 2 weeks, 5-person team

Jazzy Game Center is a game center including two multiplayer networked online card games. It works on Android mobile devices. Two to four players can play at the same time.  One is online UNO, and another one is online poker. Both games share the same rules as rules in real life. The games focus on guest experience as well as networking aspects. This is an undergraduate project.
